Solid spot for Chinese food in an area where your options are slightly limited. Great sized portions and amazing prices for 2024! I had the lunch combo plate with Jalapeño Chicken and Moo Goo Gai Pan, adding in some lo mein noodles. This was all for about $12! I really enjoyed the Jalapeño chicken and definitely recommend it if you like a spicy kick. Prices here are my favorite part. A regular lunch plate is $8.50! It comes with your choice of meat, rice or noodles, an egg roll and a bowl of soup. Great value! There's also a ton of options to choose from. Two slight downsides that I found - one was the food is slightly too oily and two was the lighting in the restaurant kind of sucks. It makes the place look a bit depressing. Overall, great spot to save money and enjoy some tasty Chinese food!
The food was very good, I got the lemon chicken and it was delicious. I will definitely go back to try some different dishes. Hostess was nice and friendly, really good attitude.
Came in search of nachos... left with a full belly, and enough leftovers for a modest light snack. Was it the most authentic Chinese food you'll find that ever existed? Well naw. But it's the west side and the place is named Nachos - you knew exactly what you were getting yourself into. Don't let the dilapidated exterior and dinginess of the building fool you cause you're about to be greeted with a smile and served up their yummy rendition of all the popular Chinese take-out staples you've come to be familiar with. Personally, I've tried their lemon chicken, orange chicken, sesame chicken, and cashew chicken - dang, I definitely do "eat mor chikin" than beef! If you have the time (and pleasure) of dining-in for lunch you'll be presented with the usual soup offerings - hot 'n sour (a little brothier than usual yet decent) or egg drop. Choose an egg roll (basic) or 2 rangoons that are thin yet packed with cream cheese. On to your entree - options, options, options! I feel like everything is made "spicy" here but you can either dial it back or ask them to make you cry - the choice is yours. All in all - I'm both saddened and shocked to say that the sole thing I'll miss about temporarily working way out on this side of town is going to be the easy accessibility of Nacho's Red Dragon.
Best old-school Chinese (Cantonese) I have tried in SATX. Friendly service, fresh, delicious food. Nothing fancy, just perfectly executed classic Chinese.
Service is ok not a big whoop . Dining area is nice clean but has wear n tear due to lunch n dinner rush. Food is made to order so comes out fresh n hot Condiments are extra around 50 cents n you get a free soup if you dine in . Do have a tv and plays kids movies which is nice to keep them calm
